  • Obtain a bachelor’s degree from an accredited school
  • Pass the ASWB exam

LSW: Licensed Social Worker

  • Obtain a master’s degree from an accredited school
  • Pass the ABSW exam

LCSW: Licensed Clinical Social Worker

  • Obtain a master’s or doctorate degree from an accredited school
  • Obtain 12 hours of clinical work from an accredited school
  • Complete 1,920 hours of client face-to-face social work over a three year period
  • Pass the ASWB exam
