Oklahoma Social Work License Requirements

  • Must hold a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) or a Doctor of Social Work (must be CSWE-accredited)
  • Must have completed ASWB Exam
  • Minimum of 4,000 hours of post-degree supervised experience; 3,000 hours must be direct client contact hours.

Licensed Social Worker-Administration (LSW-Adm)

  • Must hold a Master’s in Social Work (MSW)
  • Must have completed ASWB Exam
  • Two (2) years of full-time post-degree experience or the equivalent
  • A total of 4,000 hours of experience in the administrative practice of social work under professional supervision; 100 of those hours must include face-to-face educational supervision

Private or Independent Social Work Practice

  • Must hold an LCSW license
  • Has a minimum of 100 hours of face-to-face educational supervision in no less than two (2) years of full-time experience
  • Minimum of 4,000 hours of supervised experience certified by the Board in the method to be offered in private practice
